This is an exceptional beauty. What you see before you is a 1977 Porsche 930 Turbo 3.0 in irresistible “Platinum Metallic” and black leather interior trim. The car was supplied new in Rattingen in January 1977. The car was ordered with a limited-slip differential, Blaupunkt Bamberg radio, air-con and front fog lights. Porsche only built 2,819 of these 260 Ps 930 3.0 Turbo’s. The car quickly gained a bit of a reputation due to its short wheelbase, heavy post rear axle placed engine and explosive power. The Americans nicknamed it the widowmaker due to the fact that many rich bankers with more money than talent overestimated their ability to stop before hitting something disagreeably solid. Its tag might be just a little exaggerated, of course, it is an old-fashioned turbo that lacks the linear build-up of power modern cars have. If you just take your time to get to know your car, respect the mechanics and use the pedal judiciously this 930 Turbo will reveal itself to be so much more than an explosive “straight ahead cannon”. The 930 was the first 911 to get a Turbo and since then the Turbo has remained at the pinnacle of the 911 range. The Turbo is the most luxurious and fastest 911 around today and fitted with this car’s optional extra’s you can see the clear lineage that stems from this 930.

Since its arrival in the Netherlands on the 18th June 1994, it has been in the hands of just one person. Not just any old owner but the best owner a car can wish for. Nothing was too much for his Porsche over the last 27 years, keeping the car absolutely in top-class shape. The complete maintenance history is available as is its "Geburtsurkunde" demonstrating this car has its original finish and is a matching numbers example.

The car is absolutely in top-class condition. The bodywork is gorgeous. The nice and thin panelwork is correctly aligned. The paintwork has been cosmetically resprayed together with freshly reapplied “Turbo” stickers. The rubber rear bumper and spoiler components are in good shape and look wonderful. The car stands proudly on its original Fuchs rims shod in good quality and correctly sized Bridgestone's.

Inside the quality continues. Instrument and controls are, as you may expect with Porsche, built to last for eternity and are in good working order. The car has the aforementioned air-con and half leather upholstery. The original Blaupunkt Bamberg radio is still there. Things like the original carpets and headlining are in very good condition. Open the door and you will readily appreciate the careful manner in which the car has always been treated. It is impossible to keep a car in such good condition with someone less than careful.

In 2016 the official Porsche dealership fully overhauled the transmission at 140,000 km. The turbo was also replaced at the same time with a fully rebuilt example. The engine has been spared the need for a complete rebuild due to its low 144,000 km mileage. The invoices emphasise the care and perfect maintenance of the last 27 years, never scrimping on the quality of the parts used or the professionals called in to work on the car. This car always was gently brought up to temperature and driven with love. The performance of the 3.0 Turbo engine is still very impressive.

In short, this matching numbers Porsche 930 in fetching livery and with only two owners comes to you in impeccable overall condition.
