Introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1983, the new 911 Carrera 3.2 is intended to relaunch the brand by building on its flagship model that has enjoyed two decades of success. Whilst keeping the originality of the 911 style, the design was modernised and the flat six engine was reworked, increased to 3.2L and received a Motronic injection. The G50 gearbox was adopted in 1987, improving the driving experience thanks to its precision and speed. The Carrera 3.2 era ended in 1989 with the K series, which kept 16-inch Fuchs rims and a standard alarm. Only 20,126 convertible examples were produced.
Sold new in Germany, this particular car is part of the K series. It has a rare and elegant Metallic Coral livery (L80K) combined with leather interior in a gorgeous wine-sediment colour. The bodywork is in very sound condition and well aligned, the paint has been redone in its original colour, while the upholstery is really well preserved. The car just had a major service end of 2022 at Porsche Villenueva Sport Automobile, including the replacement of all four tyres, exhaust and manifolds, oil hoses, fuel tank, replacement of filters and fluids and adjustment of the running gear. The total amount of work exceeded €8,000. This example, in good condition and with a mileage of 140,243 km represents the opportunity to drive a 3.2 cabriolet in a rare, original and elegant colour.
