Zurück zu den Anfängen, dachten sich die "Macher" des "Neunelfers", der zwischen 2004 und 2012 bei Porsche vom Band laufen sollte, und entwarfen den neuen Porsche 997 sehr ähnlich dem urigen Prototypen von 1963. Auffallend bei diesem Update des Porsche sind die kreisrunden Scheinwerfer - die die großen ovalen "Spiegeleier" des 996er Modells ablösten. Die hatten in der Porsche-Fangemeinde für harsche Kritik gesorgt, sogar Nachfrage und Preis gedrückt. Daher hatte man geradezu sehnsüchtig auf das Nachfolgemodell gewartet. In Sachen Motorleistung brachte der Porsche 997 nicht viel Neues, wurde dafür aber insgesamt etwas gewichtiger. Der Porsche 997 Turbo, der erst 2006 auf den Markt kam, brachte dagegen richtig viel Neues. Erstmals setzte Porsche hier auf die Variable Turbinen-Geometrie, auch VTG genannt. Im Juli 2008 gab es ein Facelift beim Porsche 997 Turbo. Vor allem an Stoßfängern und Lufteinlässen wurde Hand angelegt. Die LED-Leuchte hielt auch bei Porsche Einzug. Dazu kamen Bi-Xenon-Scheinwerfer und Kurvenlicht. 2008 kam ein neues Doppelkupplungsgetriebe zum Einsatz, das vollkommen glattes, unterbrechungsfreies Schalten ermöglicht.

Das hier angebotene Fahrzeug wurde direkt nach Fertigstellung von seinem Erstbesitzer bei RUF angeliefert und einem Rturbo Upgrade unterzogen, bestehend aus der Optimierung des Steuergeräts, Sportluftfilter, Umbau der Abgasanlage mit 4 runden 76 mm-Endrohren und Katalysatoren, sowie 2 VTG-Turboladern im Tausch. Die hieraus resultierende Leistung beträgt 441 KW / 600 PS, bei einem Drehmoment von 850 Nm. Mit einer Laufleistung von lediglich 3.500 KM und lediglich zwei Vorbesitzern befindet sich dieser Wagen in einem absolut neuwertigen Zustand. In terms of engine performance, the Porsche 997 didn't bring much new, but overall it was a bit more weighty. The Porsche 997 Turbo, which only came on the market in 2006, brought a lot of new things. For the first time, Porsche relied on the variable turbine geometry, also called VTG. In July 2008 there was a facelift for the Porsche 997 Turbo. Hand work was especially done on bumpers and air intakes. The LED light also found its way into Porsche. There were also bi-xenon headlights and cornering lights. In 2008 a new double clutch transmission was used, which enables completely smooth, uninterrupted shifting.
