The purists might suggest that the 3.6 flat six engine working in tandem with a manual transmission is how the 911 was originally intended, and our superb Carrera ticks those boxes and enjoys the short shift option for further driver enjoyment and ease when pressing on, when and where permitted.

The 997 is the most commercially successful Porsche 911 of all time. It has been argued that this is the last of the real Porsches, referring to the 997 series as the factory’s swansong whilst under independent ownership. The styling of the 997 was based on the much favoured 993 generation’s appearance with the much-loved oval-shaped headlights returning to the front of this iconic car. The interior was re-designed with new controls, more reminiscent of the classic 911 interiors.

When the 997 range was revised in 2008, the Generation II cars gained the new direct fuel injection engine (91DFI unit) which produced 345 HP at 6,500rpm, revised styling, new front driving lights, restyled LED rear lights and touch-screen navigation. The Carrera can travel from 0 to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 179mph.

Originally supplied by Porsche Centre Chester in January 2010, our stunning example has enjoyed full Porsche Centre servicing, the last of which has recently been completed.  There is an excellent history file to accompany the car, in addition are all the MOT’s to verify the eye-catchingly low mileage. It will also be supplied with a comprehensive warranty and a new MOT certificate.
