Description

This 964 Targa C4 1992 is one of only 1329 examples built by Porsche. Delivered new in Germany the car has had three owners including the current owner and has always been serviced by Porsche specialists (service history book present). Current mileage is 168,000kms.

In 2018 the second owner decided to change the exterior color to ‘Coffee Brown’ (from the original red) an early Porsche 911 color produced in 1966-1968. The standard wheels were changed for 17” Fuschs, the Targa ‘Halo’ was anodized ‘brushed aluminum’ and a set of ‘KW’ adjustable rear dampers were fitted to improve the ride height and handling.

In December 2020 the current owner commissioned a ‘gentle backdate’ transformation by the car designer ‘Oz’ from www.blackswangroup.be

The engine and the gearbox have been rebuilt to Porsche specifications.

The client wanted the car to reflect an ‘F Model’ look from the rear while retaining the 964 heritage from the front.

The door panels were re-designed with door pull and pockets (Singer design) and the door mounted wing mirrors were deleted replaced by fully functional ‘Singer’ style mirrors in the quarter lights.

The complete interior was replaced with a hand crafted Alcantara and cloth interior with brown stitching. This interior design has been extended to include the front luggage space under the bonnet. Customized floor carpets finish the overall look.

The center console was rebuilt in Alcantara (with brown stitching) incorporating a custom 917 gear change selector made of Oak. A MOMO steering wheel finished in matching Alcantara and stitching completed the look.

Dials were accentuated with anodized aluminum rings along with the control knobs for lights and the key.

The front fog lights were deleted and replaced with the Porsche RS air vents but with fully functional discrete white LED lights for the fog lamps.

The ICU unit has been re-mapped by Brombacher Germany to give an increase of BHP to the engine along with an upgraded air filter system.

The original exhaust system has been deleted and replaced with a double exit free flow kit from ‘Fabspeed’ adapted to fit the custom design rear bumper.

Incorporated in the rear bumper is a rear fog light ‘red LED’ discretely mounted on a rear reflector.

The rear light cluster has been hand built to recreate the backdate look influenced by Singer.

This car is not for the faint hearted.. The increase in horsepower makes this an exciting daily driver that turns heads and is the perfect blend of Porsche pleasure..
