What a picture huh? The connoisseur will have to look twice to see that this is not an original Porsche 356 Speedster replica. The car looks to pass through a ring and is a tribute to the, now completely priceless, original.

The car was built in the United States by Vintage Speedsters on the basis of proven Volkswagen technology. The underbody is a shortened Volkswagen copy and the body and interior have many elements that resemble the original. It is a real feast for the eyes, but one that makes it possible for you to take it for a drive on Sunday. The body is partly made of plastic and is in good condition. The body is painted in perhaps the best colour for a Speedster replica: black. The paint is neatly cared for and has a nice deep shine. The chrome elements on the body are also in very good condition. The convertible top also fits beautifully and is of heavy quality. The 356 Speedster may have been the first car to be as beautiful open as it is closed.

The interior has been completely reupholstered with beautiful grey carpets and grey leather on the dashboard. The instruments and controls are all in familiar places and look beautiful. In addition, two extra meters have been placed for oil pressure and oil temperature respectively. The seats are upholstered in grey leather and provide good support. The door panels are also covered with grey leather and, like the body, are modelled after the original.

The technology is a four-cylinder boxer engine that is linked to a manual transmission. The engine is equipped with double carburettors and sounds beautiful. The handling is very well taken care of thanks to the installation of good tires and new undercarriage rubbers and the brakes are also well suited to their task and can be dosed well.

In short, a beautiful looking replica of the 356 Speedster that is equipped with rock-solid Volkswagen technology. A car that gives you the feeling of being in something very special for a fraction of the price of the original.
