Description

Transmission: 4 gears, Manual gearbox
Registration number: PO-35-75

The Porsche 356 has steadily become more valued and more often has stepped from behind its legendary younger brother’s shadow. Whereas early A-series 356’s tend to end up in collections, later 356’s often enjoy a more active lifestyle. Many of these 356’s are used as they were originally intended for; regular sportive engagement. Sportive events are simply magic with this ‘Matching Numbers’ 356 B Coupé. As it has already been restored, that particular worry has been taken out of your hands. It means you can fully enjoy this classic Porsche.

The restored bodywork is in excellent shape. The car is accident free with only a few blemishes here and there if you look very closely. The overall condition is classified as being ‘very fine’. Due to the expert restoration the panelwork all aligns and the joins and paintwork are pinpoint. As the photos show the sills and underside are also very neat. The red stripe body markings are stickers and can easily be removed if so wished. The interior too is very neat with black upholstery and a wooden steering wheel. The dashboard has the obligatory colour-coding with the wheel having developed a fine patina. Everything is in good working order, again saving you worry and allowing you to fully enjoy your ownership

The 90 hp, 1600 engine is not only correct it is the very same one it let the factory with in 1963. Its matching numbers credential underlined by the official Porsche Deutschland GmbH certificate.
Mechanically too this Porsche is at the top of its game. During the restoration the entire engine was rebuilt and that shows. The 4-cylinder boxer engine puts out 90 hp and runs fantastically. The fitted K&N filters add to the auditory enjoyment. The engine was not the only part taken in hand, the suspension and transmission were also fully overhauled. This Porsche 356’s handling is therefore on such a high level it fully fulfils Porsche’s original intention.

A fantastic car for many a pleasurable trip, journey or rally. Do you just wish to sit back and admire the beautiful lines, who could blame you? Why nor come and practise here in Brummen?
