Das Fahrzeug wurde im Oktober 1963 erstmals nach USA/CA ausgeliefert. Nach Jahren gelangte der 356er in den Bundesstaat Texas und wurde bis 1991 dort gefahren.
Im November 1991 erwarb der erste Eigentümer in Deutschland das damalige roten Cabrio und ließ es von der Firma Nolting nach Deutschland importieren.
Die Firma Nolting restaurierte das Fahrzeug dann umfassend von November 1991 bis April 1992. Der Lack wurde bis auf das blanke Blech entfernt und im zeitgenössischen uni gelb erneuert. Es befanden sich keine Durch – bzw. Unterrostungen an der Karosserie. Die Innenausstattung wurde in schwarzem Leder erneuert und der Teppichsatz/Boucle` neu verlegt. Das Verdeck wurde durch eine neue Außenhaut in Sonnenland Qualität mit samt dem Innenhimmel und dem Verdeckgestänge erneuert. Der Motor vom TYP 616/16 wurde 1997 komplett revidiert. Die Laufleistung beträgt seither 32.000 Km.

Alle Achsteile, Lenkung, Getriebe, Bremsanlage usw. wurden im Zuge der Restauration überarbeitet und auf den neusten Stand gebracht.

Das Lackbild zeigt auch heute keine Beschädigungen auf. Zusammenfassend kann man sagen, bei dem PORSCHE 356 C Cabrio handelt es sich um ein exzellent restauriertes und in den weiteren Jahren, sehr gepflegtes, authentisches und wunderschönes Fahrzeug. Es wurde regelmäßig bewegt und gewartet.

In November 1991, the first owner in Germany bought the red convertible at the time and had it imported to Germany by the Nolting company.

The Nolting company then extensively restored the vehicle from November 1991 to April 1992. The paint was removed except for the bare metal and renewed in the contemporary plain yellow. There was no rust through or under rust on the body. The interior was renewed in black leather and the carpet set / boucle` was relocated. The top has been renewed with a new outer skin in Sonnenland quality, including the inner headliner and the top linkage. The engine of the TYPE 616/16 was completely overhauled in 1997. The mileage has been 32,000 km since then.

All axle parts, steering, gearbox, brake system, etc. were revised and brought up to date in the course of the restoration.

Even today, the paintwork shows no damage. In summary, one can say that the PORSCHE 356 C Cabrio is an excellently restored and, in the years to come, very well-maintained, authentic and beautiful vehicle. It was moved and serviced regularly.
