Description

A Porsche 356 is a great classic car, and is a nice addition to any classic car collection. Developed in the fifties and based on a Volkswagen Beetle platform, the 356 became the base for the growth of the Porsche imperium. Without looking back, Porsche became one of the key players in the sportscar market, with in dept development of their original concept : a rear engined sportscar with boxer engine.

This particular 356 was delivered new in USA in February 1963 with the 1582 ccm engine producing 60 bhp. This matching nrs engine is still in the car, but during the restoration slightly tweaked to offer a bit more power and speed. It came to France about 15 years ago in restored condition, and was purchased by an Australian actor living in Paris. in 2017, the car was sold again to a Belgian collector who used it intensively for road rallyes and Porsche events. It is still on a Belgian registration at the moment, and just passed technical control so it is ready to be registered again by a new owner.

The general condition of the car is good, despite being an older restoration. It has a very nice and glossy paint, with some small signs of use. The engine pulls really well, and the gearbox shifts easily through all the gears. The interior in red leatherette is in good condition, and makes the Porsche very attractive in this gorgeous colour combination.

This Porsche 356 is a nice classic sportscar and a real pleasure to drive. A perfect machine to enter one of the many great classic car events, and ready to be enjoyed by a new lucky owner !
