The Porsche 356B, is quite rightly, today still an incredibly popular model of Porsche. This example was delivered new in 1962 in Dusseldorf in Germany. In full, this concerns a Porsche 356 T6B 1600 S Cabriolet with Reutter body. The 1.6 engine produces 75 hp and enables the car to reach a top speed of 178 kilometers per hour.

This example has already been fully restored and overhauled and is in very good condition. The bodywork looks beautiful and is fitted with nice thin sheet metal with correct fits. The body has been repainted in the color "Slate Grey", the paint was very well sprayed at the time and still looks beautiful. The chrome on the body was all renewed during the restoration and looks beautiful. The car is also equipped with a chrome-plated luggage rack, which is also in very good condition. The convertible top is made of beige linen and looks beautiful. The hood is easy to operate and fits nicely anywhere. Naturally, a tonneau cover is supplied with the hood. The hood is really in new condition. The car stands on steel wheels surrounded by good Vredestein Sprint Classic tires in the correct sizes. The rims are fitted with original re-chromed hubcaps.

The interior of the Porsche was reupholstered during the restoration with great eye for originality and looks beautiful. The red leather provides a beautiful contrast to the “Slate Gray” paintwork. The carpets have been renewed, the seats have been re-filled and upholstered and the dashboards have also been repainted during the bodywork refinishing process. The instruments come from VDO and the car is equipped with an original Blaupunkt radio. The top of the dashboard is also covered with beautiful red leather. The door panels were of course also reupholstered with red leather during the restoration. Finally, the interior is fitted with original rubber mats.

The technology is at least as beautiful as the exterior. The engine has already been completely overhauled and runs beautifully. The great thing about a Porsche 356 is that it doesn't look like a fast car at all on paper, the car has a modest power of only 75 hp by today's standards. But what we must not forget is that the average car in the 60s often did not go beyond 30 to 40 hp and only the sports cars from that time had more power. The Porsche 356 is therefore a car in which you can drive along with modern traffic without any difficulty. In fact, the Porsche 356 is downright smooth. The ratios in the gearbox are well chosen and aimed at driving pleasure. This particular example is also fully equipped with new and improved parts. The chassis is equipped with new springs and red Koni shock absorbers. The brakes have been completely overhauled as well as the transmission and differential. What is also good to know is that the wiring harness was completely renewed during the restoration. The engine is mated to a fully overhauled four-speed manual transmission. The transmission is in good condition and shifts precisely. The brakes can also be dosed perfectly.

The restoration is fully documented. The documentation is of course supplied with the car. In short, a beautiful Porsche 356 T6B Cabriolet in beautiful condition, both optically and technically.
