French title - Iconic model, fun to drive and reliable - Tasteful presentation, original ivory colour - Delivered new in Germany Delivered new in Germany in July 1958, this Porsche 356 is a desirable European specification example. It is the elegant 356 A cabriolet T2 version with coachwork by Reutter, that displays the purity of the first generation of this iconic model. The current owner bought the car from a Porsche specialist in Germany. Presented in the original ivory colour, it has a tinted windscreen with entirely renewed black upholstery and beige alpaca-lined black hood. The carpets are also new. As with many 356s, the original engine has been replaced, here with a flat-four 1600cc engine from a 1965/1966 Porsche 912. It has been prepared in the past for rallying, fitted with larger carburettors and a stainless steel twin pipe exhaust. The car was serviced in May last year by an ex-Sonauto specialist, who estimated the power at approximately 100 bhp. This beautiful Porsche 356 cabriolet, displaying the charm of an older restoration, is an easy car to run. It is fun to drive, with a responsive and reliable engine offering the prospect of worry-free, long-distance journeys.
