We have a particularly fine ’53 Pontiac Chieftain DeLuxe Eight convertible. We acquired this ultimate ‘50’s convertible with its gorgeous straight-eight from the States. It was restored in the past and is still in excellent condition. The paintwork is good; the bodywork is nice and straight with body panels fitting correctly. The abundance of chrome work and the large chrome bumpers are simply splendid. The underbody is sound and, of course, completely rust-free. It has a ‘Burgundy Vinyl’ interior trim, which is in a fine and well-preserved condition. It has a tremendously powerful 4.4 straight-eight flathead engine. The engine runs fantastically smooth and, thanks to the automatic transmission, it handles with great ease. This is a unique example of a seldom-available ‘50’s convertible!
