The car we are offering is a Peugeot 205 T16 series 200, manufactured in its road version at just 200 units to get homologated in Group B. This is the 12th car of the series and was registered on January 24, 1985. Its history is fairly well traced. Its first owner, Mr. Leandri, raced it at the Tour de Corse in 1985, and the same year the Rallye du Maquis. Since then it has had only four owners. The car was also raced by rally driver Antonio Zanini who used it in some rallies in the late 1980s. It was probably at this time that the car was equipped with a bolted roll cage and a circuit breaker switch. Its current owner acquired the car in 2004. He decided to have it painted in the colors "PTS" that it still sports; by then the car was not in its original Gray any more. An expertise carried out in 2009 following extensive mechanical work details an engine repair and overhaul worth more than € 12,000, as well as the good general condition of the car. The car also benefited from the replacement of the shock absorbers, the radiator, the fuel pump, the turbo and the exhaust. It has covered only 2000 km since then and total mileage of the car is a little over 43,000 km. For a competition car, its patina of will seduce a true enthusiast. The buyer can either compete with it, or restore it to its strictly original configuration. It will be delivered with its four original TRX rims, and its original 4 in 1 manifold. This example of Peugeot Sport technology is a rarity in the market, a real winning machine that marked motorsport during the 1980s.
