This is exactly what a Morgan Plus 8 should look like. Gorgeous British Racing Green and in our case complemented by green leather upholstery and green heart rims. This Morgan Plus 8 hit the roads for the first time on the 15th May 1986. The car has the famous fuel-injected Rover 3.5 V8 engine. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. As a nice aside; did you know that a Morgan Plus 8 beats a Porsche 911 from the same era up to 140 km/hr? The Morgan offers real driving thrills. The car is in very good shape having been perfectly maintained. That good care ad attention is obvious from the first moment you set eyes on her. The car stands on nearly new Michelin tyres, the paintwork has a lovely deep lustre and the bodywork looks great. These are the things connoisseurs immediately notice. The nice and thin panelwork is correctly aligned, the paintwork is neat with minor signs of normal use and the hood is in good used condition and has a snug fit. The lovely exterior quality carries on inside. The leather has developed a lovely patina, the carpets are neat and every instrument works as it should. All this does promise much. Turn the key to enjoy the roar of that iconic British aluminium V8. What a sound it is too, emanating from those twin exhausts. That is the kind of experience you no longer can buy in new cars. This Morgan makes you smile without having moved an inch. Driving her is just as wonderful. This Morgan drives like it looks; magnificently! By the way, that marvellous drive isn’t coincidental and is perfectly evident. The car has been extensively maintained over the last few years. The last service in 2020 was more like a partial overhaul. The engine was very extensively serviced. All fluids, spark plugs, gaskets and retainer rings were replaced. The gearbox also received all due attention. The diff was fitted with new gaskets were fitted together with an oil change as well as many other smaller jobs. To top it all a new aluminium radiator was fitted. The previous owner invested over € 8,000 in this Morgan’s maintenance. "Looks can be deceiving" as the British always say. In this case, you get what it says on the tin; a technically top-quality, wonderful 1986 Morgan Plus 8.
