Description

In the years following WWII, many returning American servicemen began importing the sprightly MG TC, and US motoring fans of all ages were irreversibly smitten with the sports car. Over the ensuing decades, the MG TC has never lost its charm, with its spidery 19" wire wheels, sweeping fender lines, and fold-flat windshield. Its design and proportions can best be described in a single word – perfect. A symbol of pure motoring delight, the MG TC has been revered for its purity of line, sparse appointments, and lively road manners for over 70 years. Today, a TC is a mainstay of any comprehensive collection of sports cars.

This well-loved MG TC is offered from a private California collection and has been driven and enjoyed by its doting owner. The identification tag on its 1,250 cc, inline four-cylinder engine matches the stamping on the chassis plate. Of the 10,000 built, this TC is one of only 494 desirable EXU-series models built expressly for US export, and also one of the last 150 cars constructed before the company switched to production of the TD model. This TC has been fitted with the proper Lucas driving light, and a badge bar has been added atop the front splash pan. Presentable throughout in its striking black over tan color combination, it is ideal for local shows and gatherings. This TC beckons to take to the road where it is sure to delight on any breakfast run or jaunt to a local cars and coffee event.
