This MG B was first registered on the 16th July 1963. It is therefore an early MG B with the trademark pull door handles. It was imported to the Netherlands in 1996 and has remained in the same hands ever since. Looking at the car it is immediately obvious that the previous owner has taken great care in its maintenance. There are no other words than “as good as new” that fit the car’s description. To get this accolade the car underwent an extensive restoration. The restoration took place in 2002 and considering the car’s price class, it was done to an incredibly high level. The invoices bear witness to the enormous amount of time, effort and money expended on this car. Besides the invoices, the original owner’s manual, various technical drawings, general MG B information and not least of all a photo album detailing the restoration. A number of upgrades were carried out to improve drivability. An electric cooling fan, cruise control, power steering, fog lights and windshield were fitted. The gearbox has the much favoured overdrive option that make travelling long distances at higher speeds seem effortless. The paintwork is near to perfect, the interior trim is well-preserved with a lovely authentic patina. The brightwork appears neat with a few minor signs of wear. There are enough MG B’s around, but a thoroughly documented one of this quality is a rare find!
