- Elegant styling
- Exceptional driving pleasure for your money
- Complete with all its equipment and in perfect running order

At the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1955 MG had high hopes for its new model, where its senior executives hovered over the new MG A. For some time the manufacturer had been facing stiff competition in the small sports car market. They therefore needed to attract young and well-to-do customers, while continuing the tradition of the MG TC, TD and TF. Fortunately for the company, it responded with panache, thanks especially to the MG A’s extremely fine design by Sydney Enever. Its styling and engineering both contributed to the sporty feel expected of such a car.

This MG A 1600 was first registered on 14 April 1960 and underwent an older restoration which today lends it a most attractive patina. Sold at auction at Versailles in February 1990, the car has since had three owners, all in the Paris area. The first of them kept it for nearly nine years, before selling it to its next owner, who enjoyed it to the full until 2015. A substantial file of original bills and papers confirms that the history and service record of the car are well known. The current owner has also collected numerous magazines, features and technical documentation relating to the MG A. The model we have selected for you is equipped with all its original accessories, including the luggage rack, hood, side-screens, spare wheel, jack and starting handle. Both the carpets and the seats, finished in red imitation leather, are in perfect condition and the engine runs very well. The shock absorbers, brake discs and pads, clutch and exhaust silencer have all been replaced recently.

The MG is very pleasant to drive and handles impeccably, always attracting a thumbs-up as it goes past! This desirable roadster is ready to take you out on a trouble-free drive or to take part in more prestigious historic events.
