Since this wonderful MG A 1500 first hit the roads in 1956 it has travelled some 93,317 miles. When new this MG was supplied to someone in Boston, the USA. After it came over to the Netherlands in 1994 it had a body-off restoration and mechanical overhaul, which included the engine and gearbox.

Starting our description from the beginning. The chassis is rock solid and fully rust-free. The very nice panelwork is unblemished with correct alignment. A new hood was also fitted at the same time and has remained neat and serviceable. The interior trim was also fully reupholstered.

An accompanying photo album beautifully shows the work carried out. All invoices to have been saved as part of an impressive dossier. That dossier also has a number of valuation rapports showing successive increases in the car’s value as well supporting the notion this MG’s restoration and upkeep was done to a correct and high level.

The engine and gearbox both work smoothly. The white finish contrasting with the black leather interior trim forms a fine classic image. The MG A does remain a delightful British classic. A gorgeous design, a good chassis and fine 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine.

In short, this MG A 1500 needs no further attention and is bound to provide you with heaps of fun.
