- In the same family since 1963!
- Remarkably well preserved
- Comfortable, luxurious, with good build quality

Delivered new on April 26, 1962 by Mercedes Royal Elysees to the French Air Force, this 220 SE convertible was purchased the following year by the father of the current owners. He used this car regularly over the weekends and holidays at the French Riviera, and the car was regularly serviced by the Mercedes-Benz network, as can be seen by the car's service book. During the 1980s, the car received a coat of paint that helped protecting it from corrosion. The underbody was also treated.
In 1990, this elegant car, powered by a six-cylinder 2.2-liter, was stored in a garage until our recent discovery. Its luxuriously finished interior has its original beautiful brown upholstery, which offers a discreet patina that no restoration can ever match the charm of. The engine is the original one and the car comes with all its books and papers (maintenance and operating manuals) and its original toolkit. The hood is in good condition.
Scrupulously maintained, in a remarkable state of preservation, in the hands of its second owner for the last 40 years, this car is being sold with no technical inspection and will need to be restarted, other than an overhaul of the brakes.
