To replace the legendary Pagoda Mercedes launched in 1971 the 107 series, which went on to see huge success around the world with a production in hundreds of thousands. In 1974, Mercedes-Benz expanded its range with a 280SL version, with a six-cylinder in-line 2.8-liter fuel injection engine with twin overhead camshafts, an engine which developed 185bhp at 6000rpm.
Subsequently, other versions were also developed, but the one that interests us here is a 280SL convertible with automatic transmission. It comes with a detachable hard top that takes the form of the "pagoda" style of its predecessor. This car has covered 61,700km and looks to be in good original condition, with the metallic grey body well preserved, as is the black leather interior.
