French title - The perfect roadster for rallies - Comprehensive restoration file - Stunning colour combination The 190 SL cabriolet appeared in 1954 and was produced until 1963, as was its big sister the 300 SL. Visually, the similarities are immediately obvious, but its engine, with two less cylinders (four), was 1.9-litres with 105 bhp, originally with two Solex carburettors. It was common for twin-choke Weber carburettors to be fitted instead, making it more responsive and pleasant to drive. This model, presented in 1959, benefitted from this improvement and has been looked after meticulously in every respect. The owner has told us that this roadster has been completely overhauled mechanically, with re-built engine, brakes, shock absorbers and carburettors. In addition, the renovation of the black leather interior is outstanding. The hood is new and it comes with hard-top, and will be sold with a file of invoices. This pretty roadster is ready to set off on holiday this summer and provide its new owner with endless enjoyment. The 190 SL has a huge following, with its wonderful styling and being easy to drive in modern traffic.
