The modern G-Vehicle still has a body-on-frame; it still has a low transmission box coupled with three mechanically locking differentials; and it is still able to drive through a wall. The point is, the G is still essentially unstoppable. It's just gotten faster and much more luxurious.

The interior has little to do with the old G-Class; very nice stitched leather seats that you can adjust in any position, full-map navigation and many luxurious details that you would expect in a premium car such as the G-Class.

Everything AMG wanted to adapt was the assembly of very large design rims and a larger and sturdy suspension and damping. Space has been made under the bonnet for an incredibly ferocious V8 Bi-Turbo that completes this all-terrain beast. The enormous Mecedes-Benz feels fast which can partly be attributed to the phenomenal sound, but it is also quite incredible that such a monster can accelerate so quickly.
