In fact they were hand built at Porsches Zuffenhausen plant as the wider fenders, to incorporate the 5.0L V8 M119 taken from the SL, would not fit down the W124 assembly line.

This immaculate example is the last of the series being built in 1995 and is finished in period correct Bornite Pearl Metallic, with Factory Black soft Recaro Leather seating for 4 adults, and finished with Polished Bur Walnut Wood Cabin. These very exclusive and very expensive limited production W124 500 wolf in sheeps clothing were ground breaking for both Mercedes and Porsche and were all sold in LHD configuration only.

Sold and bought only by the uber rich in the EU and USA it is very rare to find such a stunning and original example outside these countries and it will move quickly with examples overseas selling for top dollars.
