- Major refurbishment by Mercedes
- Sophisticated equipment
- Extraordinary comfort
- Invoices totalling over 100,000 from Mercedes Stains
In addition to offering an unusually high level of comfort, the Mercedes 600 that was launched in 1963 benefitted from a powerful engine giving the car an excellent performance. Less conventional than the Rolls-Royces that were its main rivals, these cars were immediately adopted by heads of state, stars and wealthy enthusiasts.
This beautiful Mercedes 600 was bought in Japan by the current owner, an important collector form Paris, who was attracted by the colour scheme. The white livery with grey velour interior is different to the dark colours usually seen on this model. This is a standard wheelbase version, with air-conditioning and Becker radio. What makes it special is the extraordinary mechanical restoration it has had by the Centre Mercedes-Benz in Stains, with over 100,000 of work carried out since 2009. This has included complete overhaul of the hydraulic system for the doors and boot, the adjustable suspension, locks, radio, exhaust system, brakes, fuel and water pumps, gearbox and rear axle. This restoration has enabled to car to function as beautifully as it did when new. The file of invoices with the car details all the work carried out. With 75,000 km on the clock, it is now possible to enjoy this high-class car to the full and be treated to the extraordinary comfort it provides.
