Description

One of only 997 type 220 Cabriolet B (5-seater) built, this car was first registered in Switzerland on September 20th 1952. According to the available information, the Mercedes changed hands in 1963 to the second, and so far, last registered owner. The latter was diligent about care and maintenance - in 1984, at (1)13'548 kilometres, he had the cylinder head overhauled. In 1992, with 32'541 kilometres on the clock, the radiator was overhauled, and in 1993 (33'550 km) the bodywork was partially restored. Then in 2010, the original leather interior was refreshed, and new carpets were fitted. Many receipts from 1972 to 2018 testify to the love that was shown to this convertible. With (1)43'555 kilometres on the clock, the Mercedes is in very good condition and shines with lovely details like the original Becker short-long-mid wave radio in the dashboard. The last Swiss MOT including the desirable veteran status took place in June 2016.
