This car left the factory in 1990 and is number 389/500 in this sought-after series. It was imported from Germany in 1993 by a lady driver from Baronheid in Belgium. It had previously been registered in the name of a company, as can be seen from a Belgian certificate of conformity dated April 1993 and the copy of its German registration document from the period. It had clearly been maintained with care, as is evident from a set of bills from the Mercedes dealer in Eupen, not far from Aachen, from 1993 to May 1996. These show, for example, that the cylinder head gasket, differential and spoiler were replaced in 1994. In 1995, the gearbox received attention.
Baudouin Lempereur bought the car in 1997, and since then he has used it sparingly. It is in attractive original condition, with correctly aligned panels and what appears to be original black paint. The painted body trims have apparently never been removed and there are no signs of damage to the bumpers. The black leather upholstery still smells new, without any pronounced signs of wear, and the dashboard is in good condition. The car’s equipment includes a sunroof and heated seats. For extra comfort when driving, Lempereur fitted an Indianapolis steering wheel, which is set off by the wood trim at the base of the gear lever. This car comes with its warranty booklet and owner’s manual; with just two owners since 1993, its new owner will be able to enjoy the enviable performance of this homologation special.
