Less than 52 000 km from new
Regularly maintained
Superb presentation
No reserve

Delivered new in Germany, the car on offer formed part of a major Japanese collection before coming back to Europe. It is presented in superb condition today, having been maintained regularly but only driven occasionally, as confirmed by the large file of invoices. This file also logs the mileage, which stands at under 52 000 km from new. The last time major maintenance work was carried out was in October 2015. The paintwork on this 190 E 2.3 is excellent quality, and inside, the upholstery shows only the slightest signs of use, reflected by a lovely, soft patina. It runs as one would expect from a car that presents so well, without any unwelcome noises, and it is possible to really enjoy the excellent build quality of a Mercedes-Benz of this period. Moreover, a session on the rolling road recorded the power at 184.7bhp which corresponds to the original figure.
It is worth remembering that this desirable car evolved from the homologation of the model in the DTM German Championship. Using the demure 190 as a base, Mercedes-Benz developed a sporty machine with a 18-valve 2.3-litre engine and a more dynamic appearance to reflect its strong personality. This is an emblematic and highly sought-after model today and it is rare to find an example in a condition as good as this.
