Constructed in Strasbourg, this rather rare Matford (a mixture of MAThis and FORD), spent most of its life in the french part of Switzerland. France put a heavy tax burden on large displacement engines so the little 2.2 litre flat head V8 was the engine of choice for many of those cars. Restored many years ago, the Matford was taken over by the vendor in 2013 and has since been dry stored on his premises. The car is in good condition, having received a new battery, but after a long period of inactivity certainly will require major servicing. The last MOT was completed in March 2013.
