We have a very fine and utterly original 1983 Land Rover 109 series 3, fitted with the very popular V8 petrol engine and manual gear change. This Swiss supplied car still looks the part. The car was probably in use as a second or even third car going by its 28,106 km on the clock. Everything about this car confirms its low mileage. It is a beautiful original car in excellent condition, both inside as out.

The bodywork shows signs of use commiserate with its age and mileage. The fine original thin panelwork aligns neatly. The paintwork is also fully original with blemishes again commiserate with its age. Underneath all is rock solid and as is with the rest of the car in very good and original condition. The car has standard steel wheels fitted with correctly sized tyres. The green paint finish with its white roof makes for an extremely charming presence. What a gorgeous car to behold!

The Land Rover’s inside is of course totally functional. The car was made to work and that is how the interior has been set up. That having said it does not imply this one has ever seen hard work. The interior is very neat and well maintained. That goes for the dashboard and controls in particular. Another redeeming feature are the rear benches, allowing lots of passenger space with 3 upfront and 8 in the back! Name one current car that offers space for 11 people?

The car has been properly maintained. The engine runs smoothly and provides amazing torque in the lower range. The 3.5 litre V8 puts out a maximum of 91 Ps. There is the aforementioned 4-speed manual gearbox with FWD higher and lower gearing. Brakes and suspension are intended for use in rough terrain and ensure the Land Rover 109 is a very capable off-roader. The whole driving experience is like no other, you have a marvellous vista and more than enough space to take everything you can think of with you.

In short this is a very nice, original and well maintained Series 3 Land rover 109 with that fantastic V8 plant. This is a car that in centuries to come will still be seen as the iconic off-road institute it is!
