There's a very good chance that this 1961 Land Rover 109 has seen more of the world than you. This Land Rover 109 was ordered by the first owner in England and actually taken directly to Nigeria by him. There, the car has actually been driving around in the warm African climate all its life. The car went to a Dutch owner in 2003 who completely restored the Land Rover. The car has therefore been in the possession of the first owner for an exceptionally long time. How many people do you actually know who spend 42 years with a car?

The body is neatly cared for and has correct fits. The sheet metal is nice and thin and the chassis is also rock hard and free of rust. The car was painted in its original livery during the restoration and still looks well cared for. The car naturally stands on very solid steel wheels with good tires in the correct sizes.

The interior is wonderfully spartan but in good condition. The seats were reupholstered during the restoration and the opportunity to refill the seats was also used. The instruments and controls are all original and function as they should. The steering wheel and poker are also in good and original condition.

The technique is very simple and actually indestructible. The engine, transmission and differentials have all been overhauled once and function as they should. The 2.3 four-cylinder engine is mated to a manual transmission and produces 105 hp. The car is equipped with selectable four-wheel drive as you would expect from a real Land Rover. The brakes and chassis also do exactly what can be expected of them and contribute to the wonderful driving character of this beautiful Land Rover. Driving a Land Rover 109 is actually driving around every kilometer with a holiday feeling and dreaming about beautiful distant destinations.

This car is exceptionally documented. All documentation from the time the car spent in Africa has been preserved with the car. From insurance certificate to temporary driver's license to maintenance invoices. This is a car for the real Land Rover enthusiast. The car also comes with a number of folders containing the corresponding workshop manuals. In short, a beautiful and very attractive Land Rover 109 in a beautiful color combination and impeccable history.
