In May 1986 Lancia presented the Thema 8.32 known as "Thema Ferrari", the numbers 8.32 was to indicate the number of cylinders and valves of its engine.
The engine of the Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole is capable of 215 HP, making this car the most powerful front-wheel drive one on the market.
The 8.32 had wonderful interiors for the time: covered entirely in briar, the frau and alcantara leather seats were made by Pelle Frau.
Some equipment was exclusive: the automatic retractable rear headrests, the electronic suspension with automatic or sporty calibration that can be selected by the driver, a dashboard made with analog instruments mounted on a panel of real briar and Ferrari-style vents, up to the retractable rear wing in the trunk, which can be activated through the rotation of the wiper control lever.

Between the 1st and 2nd series, 3,520 units were produced, of which 2 units of a special series numbered (II Series) of Ferrari Red color. The only officially recognized Thema 8.32 I Series in Rosso Ferrari livery was owned by Abarth and used by Cesare Fiorio.
