Description

• Offered by an important collection in Turin
• Largely well preserved
• Udine original plates
• ASI Certified

Presented in 1937 only two months after Vincenzo Lancia's death, the Aprilia represented a real revolution in both automotive style and construction technology: light (900kg) and fast (130km/h), it could carry 5 people into an elegant and comfortable environment. The load-bearing bodywork guaranteed great torsional rigidity and the aerodynamic bodywork gave a modern and elegant connotation to this Turin saloon. The independent hydraulic suspension gave the car unparalleled agility in its category and the V4 engine was both refined and gritty. The qualities of the Aprilia were highly appreciated by many riders of the time, including Tazio Nuvolari.

Offered by an important collection from a former Lancia dealer, this Aprilia is in a state of preservation and still has its Udine first registration plates. The car lacks its original documents but is supplied with ASI certification and a photocopy of the original booklet.
