The biggest change on the Jarama S could be found in the cockpit with a revised interior, where the fit, finish and usability was vastly improved. Power-assisted steering became available during production, along with a new, more efficient exhaust system, together with revised heads, cams and a modification of the tuning on the Weber carburetors, raised the power of the GTS up to 365 hp at 7,500 rpm, resulting in a 260 Km/h top speed. Only 150 units were sold when production was officially halted in 1976, but at least 5 Jarama GTS succeeded, as late as 1978. Exterior features included a large hood scoop between the NACA ducts at the front and the rear outlets on the side of the front fenders behind the wheel arches. The S also featured new wheels.

10588 was original finished in light green with engine number 41265, as it carries today. The Jarama was imported to the States quite a number of years by Johannes Huwyler of famed Dino Motors in San Mateo, California. Accompanying records begin in 1998 under ownership of Motorcar Gallery in Florida, which the Lamborghini would remain in their collection until late 2002, when Mr. Morgenthaler of Sarasota, Florida took over stewardship. A number of invoices track significant mechanical and cosmetic restorative performed over the following 3 years, including: brakes and bushings, steering, suspension and driveline work, exhaust system, clutch and transmission components, gaskets and seals, custom built radiator and cooling system components, reupholstered dash, visors and select leather items in proper Connolly, dashboard and switches, new carpeting, powdercoat finishes on auxiliary items, electrical sorting, ignition components, intake, and more. Morgenthaler retained ownership until late 2017. All glass appears original, while the exterior received its current shade of granada paintwork in years past. The cabin's tan leather upholstery is very tidy and well-kept.

In 2017 the Jarama was discovered sitting idle in a garage where it had been parked by its caretaker without much use. We purchased it and in stored it in our collection. Under our ownership further service and tune-up where performed, this included: new ignition components and rebuild of the tachometer to work with Pertronix by Palo Alto Speedometer, a complete restoration of the brake booster and master cylinder by Karps Power Brake, valve lash, carburetor tuning, period correct 215/70VR14 Pirelli CN12 tires, new plugs, fluids and filters.

Displayed at the 2019 Lamborghini Festival, this Jarama presents well for casual display or spirited grand touring. While incredibly peppy and effortlessly to drive, an internal ticking can be heard on cold starts, smoke from the exhaust. Further diagnostics and servicing will be needed to address the ticking and smoke issue. 51,500 kms is believed to be the original mileage.
