Sold new in the United States in the state of Indiana, this Jarama was imported to Europe and bought by its current owner in 1991. It is equipped with the optional factory sunroof, which is rare on this model.
Between 1993 and 2008, this car was the subject of a long and full restoration, for bodywork, painting, electrical, running gear, engine and upholstery. This work was performed at Garage Picard, in Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône. Mr Picard had the advantage of knowing those cars well as he was a mechanic at Monceau Cars, Lamborghini importer in France, from 1966 to 1973. Since its refurbishment, this superb Jarama has covered only 100 km. It is a little known model that deserves greater attention, especially since production was limited to less than 350 units between 1970 and 1976. The Jarama features the beautiful V12 first seen in the 350 GT, but as a 4-liters unit that developed 350bhp. The advantage of its Marcello Gandini-designed (for Bertone) body, is that it is very bright and light inside, and is roomy enough to accommodate two small rear seats. Powerful and luxurious, this beautiful GT is even more attractive when it is in a perfect condition, like the one that we are offering.
