- Only two owners
- Superb condition, recent mechanical work
- Extremely rare Roadster model
This Lamborghini Diablo Roadster was delivered on 4 January 2000 to its first owner in Germany by Auto Kremer. He used it regularly and with great care until 2012, covering some 50,800 km. That year, our collector acquired it to add to his collection of Lamborghinis, taking it out occasionally. The odometer now reads 52,300 km. The car has undergone considerable mechanical work, with a complete overhaul of the engine in 2018, including the replacement of the timing chains and all the gaskets. It also received a new battery, shock absorbers and set of tyres. Today, it is presented in particularly well preserved condition: its exterior paintwork is faultless, while inside, the leather seats show very slight traces of wear.
Launched in 1995, the roadster version of the Diablo was virtually a first for the make based on a V12 model, as the Miura roadster produced by Bertone had no successor. It is, moreover, much less common than the coupé, with total production of all series combined estimated at just 300 cars (versus more than 2000 for all models of the Diablo).
Our model is one of the rare roadsters featuring the improvements introduced by the manufacturer for 1999-2000. The front of the car was redesigned, as was the interior, and the engine now developed 530 bhp. The exact number of this version of the roadster is not known, as not all the archives from this period have been kept, but it is likely that fewer than 100 were built. The car we are offering therefore represents a particularly interesting opportunity to acquire a sought-after model in superb condition, blue scuro with blue interior, with a well-documented history and low mileage.
