The Countach LP 5000S Quattrovalve (QV) represents the sixth variation on the model.

Outwardly, the differences were subtle as introduced at the 1985 Geneva Auto Show,

the QV was presented in its most powerful form to date with upgraded engine to 5.2

liters with new 4-valve layout and power increased to 420BHP and a top speed of

183MPH.

The European Downdraft versions retained two-barrel Weber top mounted carburetors

covered by a central bulge in the engine bonnet to clear the revises system layout. The

U.S. versions saw a new fuel injection system employed in order to pass strict

emissions tests which was given away by two long bulges on either side of the rear

deck lid.

Blu Acapulco MetallicStylistically, the cars were departures from the original LP400

Periscopio versions but with increased power and top speed, the chassis had to evolve

as well and the cars became more muscular looking over their sixteen year run with

ever wider tires with matching wheel wells, running boards, snowplow noses and wings.

Interiors remained basically the same, with familiar elongated, sharp angled rectangular

dash layout and leather wrapped space capsule seats.

This 1986 Lamborghini Countach LP5000S Quattrovalve Downdraft was originally

delivered to Codeco S.A. Switzerland in March of 1986. It was subsequently sold to the

U.S. in 2021 still with original paint, complete with books and tools.

The car is 1 of 18 painted in iconic Blu Acapulco Metallic and features a creme colored

leather interior and only 7,324 miles.
