Description

Lamborghini’s first production model, the 350 GT, caused a sensation when it debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 1964. Featuring handsome coachwork from Carrozzeria Touring, a magnificent Bizzarrini-designed four-cam V-12 engine, five-speed ZF gearbox, fully independent suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes, the original Lamborghini was a technical tour de force. In total, approximately 130 examples were built at Sant’Agata through 1966.

According to Lamborghini factory records, this 350 GT was completed in July 1965, and delivered new to Sig. Biagini of Genova, through local concessionaire Lamborcar. After a sojourn in the US, the Lamborghini returned to Europe where, in 1999, it was sold to the current owner – a dedicated enthusiast who had yearned to own a 350 GT after experiencing one at the age of 13 during a high-speed test drive at the 1965 Brussels Motor Show. During his ownership, the Lamborghini has been enjoyed on many long-distance tours and, more recently, was cosmetically restored by marque specialists Bacchelli & Villa, with mechanical work carried out by Top Motors and Markus Scharnhorst of Graber Sportgarage AG. Extremely rare, technically advanced, and undeniably stylish, the 350 GT is widely celebrated as one of the most outstanding Italian GT cars of the 1960s. From a collector’s perspective, it represents its maker’s first great achievement in the automotive world. The car presented here is an ideal representative of this seminal model – an enduring testament to the vision and passion of Ferruccio Lamborghini.
