This is the second to last produced Jaguar XK150 3.8 Open Two Seater. The car was delivered new in New York in 1960 and still has its original engine and color scheme. The matching numbers and colors are endorsed by the Jaguar Heritage Certificate present. The XK150 has been fully restored in the recent past and is both optically and technically in top condition. During the restoration, the technology was completely overhauled. After the restoration, the car was only used in good weather and is still in excellent condition. It is not only the condition of the car that makes it an absolute masterpiece, but also the way in which the car was ordered new. This is one of the 36 delivered left-hand drive XK150 3.8 Roadsters. The car has a Carmen red exterior, black hood and black leather interior, in addition, the car was ordered new with a Laycock de Normanville overdrive that makes it possible to cover great distances in comfort. The car has been in the southern United States for a long time and has been in the possession of the same owner for a long time. He owned the car for 23 years. He only really enjoyed the car for a short time because when he left for pilot school the car was put in storage and not used for a long time. The car was then purchased by a subsequent owner who brought the car to Europe and restored and overhauled it to a very high standard.

The body of the XK150 therefore looks beautiful. The XK150 is in all cases a beautiful car to look at, but in the version shown here, the Open Two Seater, it really is the most beautiful. The sheet metal has been beautifully restored and is beautifully thin everywhere. Of course, the parts fit neatly everywhere. The convertible top was of course completely renewed during the restoration and is also in top condition. The hood is easy to operate and fits perfectly anywhere. The chrome on the bumpers and wheels has been completely redone and looks great as well. Finally, the car was painted in its original color: Carmen Red. The chassis of the car is of course also in top condition. At first glance, the beautiful overall condition of the exterior of the car is noticeable, if we look further, that image is only further confirmed.

The interior has also been restored with a great sense of originality. It's not just the upholstery that looks and feels great, but also the dashboard and instruments. The carpets are very well fitted and fit beautifully throughout. The dashboard was also completely reupholstered during the restoration. The instruments and controls, of course, all function as they should and look beautiful. The black leather on the seats is practically in new condition. Of course, the seats were also refilled during the restoration.

The 3.8 engine has been completely overhauled as well as the transmission, lower, differential and brakes. The car also drives fantastic. The engine brings out those beautiful and characteristic six-in-line sounds and makes the XK150 OTS still a fast car even by today's standards. The overdrive ensures that you do not have to rev up too much on the highway and that you can make optimal use of the strong mid-range of the engine. The transmission can be operated precisely and the brakes are also excellently controlled. The car drives exactly as the appearance suggests: great!

The car comes with a Jaguar Heritage Certificate, a photo series of the restoration and some general information about the vehicle. In short, a beautiful and very significant Jaguar XK150 Open Two Seater. A car for the enthusiast who is looking for a top example or the serious collector who especially appreciates the impressive and important history of this example.
