Chassis number: S-813382
Engine number: G-9979-8S
Cylinder head number: G-1612-8S
Gearbox number: JL37221CR
Body number: F13347

The seller states that all numbers match except for the cylinder head, which is a Type C version of the SE model, all confirmed by the Heritage Trust certificate.
The expert was able to check all the numbers except for that of the gearbox.

Inspection report:

The overall appearance of the vehicle is very good, a high quality restoration was most likely done on this vehicle a few years ago.

Body and paintwork:

The bodywork is in very good overall condition, with its original Cotswold Blue colour (the Heritage Trust certificate even states that this was the last left-hand drive XK140 OTS SE to be produced in this colour).
There are a few minor imperfections, such as a small scratch on the front left wing (shown in the photos).
The alignments are very satisfactory with the exception of the boot lid which is slightly misaligned (shown in the photos).

Interior:

The interior is in excellent, near mint condition. Originally red, it was dyed blue to match the bodywork: this is the only departure from the original configuration.

Undercarriage and chassis:

The undercarriage of the vehicle is entirely sound.

Mechanics:

Not having been able to test drive the vehicle, the expert was able to see that it starts well when cold and runs on all its cylinders. The seller offers a one year warranty on the engine, gearbox and rear axle.

Overall condition:

The vehicle being offered is a very nice example of the XK140, with the desirable SE specs with 210 hp. Imported into France in 2009, then most likely restored, it is in perfect condition for its new owner to take to the road with peace of mind.
