Description

Beautiful presentation
Equipped with a C-Type cylinder head
Five-speed mechanical gearbox

This Jaguar XK 140 SE Fixed Head Coupe was sold new on October 30, 1956 by the New York Jaguar dealership. It was painted in Carmen Red and equipped with a black cockpit. It was imported to Europe several years ago and undergoes a major restoration. A new painting with the original hue was made and the interior received a Bordeaux leather. Its mechanics were embellished with a C-Type cylinder head which, powered by two SU carburettors can develop nearly 210 horsepower, 20 more than original. Many costs have recently been paid on the car, including a replacement of the clutch and the exhaust line, a repair of the rack, a review of the cooling system. It obtained its technical control in November 2018 with the only defect, an excessive shifting, a defect corrected since by a parallelism. It is a car that behaves well on the road and which mechanics are in very good working order. Rare in left hand drive, it is perfect to appreciate the French roads during historic rallies.
