Jaguar introduced the XK 120 in 1948 at the London Motorshow. It was the first sports car offered by Jaguar since 1940. Naturally it was met with rave reviews which persuaded the Jaguar brass to put it into production. The ‘120’ moniker referred to the car’s ability to achieve a speed of 120-mph. It was offered in three body styles drophead coupe, fixed head coupe and roadster. In 1953, famed Jaguar test driver Norman Dewis achieved a 172.4-mph run in a modified XK 120. The XK 120 was produced through 1954, when it was replaced by the XK 140.

This 1953 Jaguar XK120 drophead coupe is presented in British Racing Green with a tan convertible top. The elegant exterior features a split windshield and fender skirts. This Jaguar is powered by a 3.4-liter inline six-cylinder engine which is paired to a manual transmission. The interior is completed in tan leather which is accented by wood trim. The dash features a center-mounted gauge cluster and rearview mirror. A wood-rimmed steering wheel and radio completes the interior of this beautiful Jaguar.
