Description

This fabulous XK120 Roadster, clad in a Pastel Blue exterior with French Grey fabric roof, was dispatched from the Browns Lane factory on June 12, 1952, arriving at the retail premises of Charles Hornburg in Los Angeles.

Although its first owner is unknown, this Jaguar was acquired in July 1961 from Herb’s Auto Sales in Dayton, Ohio, by Louise Pfoutz, a remarkable lady who continued to drive and fly old aircraft well into her advancing years. A copy of Mrs. Pfoutz’s Ohio title with the purchase date accompanies the car at sale.

The current owner purchased the car from Mrs. Pfoutz in 1988 and had the XK120 restored in its original livery at Cross Country Classics by Paul Cusato, himself a JCNA national concours judge. The restoration was completed in 1991, and numerous receipts document the work. Since the restoration was finished, the Jaguar has recorded less than 2,500 careful miles. Great lengths were taken during the restoration to get a period-correct finish for both the exterior and interior.

Having benefited from the loving care of one fastidious steward for the last 27 years, this XK120 Roadster, presented with attractive disc wheels and rear spats, is sure to excite the Jaguar purist and deserves your careful consideration.
