Description

The E-Type Series 3 was introduced in 1971, with a new 5.3 L Jaguar V12 engine, uprated brakes and standard power steering. The newly used longer wheelbase now offered significantly more room in all directions. The Series 3 is easily identifiable by the large cross-slatted front grille, flared wheel arches, wider tyres, four exhaust tips and a badge on the rear that proclaims it to be a V12. This Beautiful example was supplied new by Henleys Jaguar of London ont he 26th October 1971 and has been in its most recent ownership for 10 years. With an extensive history file including MOT certificates dating back to 1987 and a documented restoration in 1990 and again in 1998 with all invoices outlining the work carried out. Notabley the car was owned from 1976 by famous golfer Peter Alliss and still bears the 'Golf At Goodwood Member' Sticker in the windscreen. More recently the car has undergone extensive mechanical works at world renound Jaguar Classic Specialist, Butlin & Sons, which included new tyres, exhaust manifold gaskets & head studs, full service, exhaust manifold, cam cover gaskets, anti roll bar link bushes and much more. This is an excellent investment opportunity in incredible original condition
