Description

Produced between 1961 and 1975 and for years considered the most beautiful car in the world, the Jaguar E-Type is still intriguing today.

This Series 2 convertible model dates from 1970 and is fitted with the Jaguar 4.2L inline 6-cylinder engine with double overhead camshaft and 12 valves fed by carburettors.
Its displacement is 4235 cc, the engine reaches 269 horsepower at 5400 rpm and its torque is 39.2 mkg at 4000 rpm. It is equipped with a 4-speed manual Jaguar gearbox, much more efficient and reliable than the previous version from Moss.

The current seller bought it in 2021 from the second owner in order to restore it almost completely.

Apart from the interior, upholstery, carpets and soft top which are original with their superb patina (with a very slight tear on the soft top), this superb Jaguar Type-E convertible has been almost fully restored.

Comes with numerous invoices and photos from restoring the mechanics, fuel supply, cable harness, steering system, floors, bodywork, paintwork, etc.

Technical control performed on 15 July 2022, almost perfect results and of course valid. This Classic Car is for sale on Catawiki. To have more information or to place a bid click on the "BID NOW" button.
