The car was imported from the US and approved by the Dutch vehicle authority (the RDW), it has a Dutch registration. The car doesn’t have a valid Dutch periodic vehicle inspection (APK).

It is in good condition. The car is fitted with wire wheels and a wooden Nardi steering wheel. The soft-top is in good condition. An original luggage rack is mounted on the back. Unfortunately there is a slight dent in the bonnet (see pictures)

The E-type was the successor of the XK series which was built until 1961. The E-type was clearly different kind of car with its distinctive nose and the 6-cylinder inline engine.
The E-type series 2 was built from August 1968. The chassis number began with 1R7001 which makes this car the 20th series 2 OTS built in 1968. The series 2 was a continuation of series 1 and series 1 1/2 and the changes were minimal. The engine of the series 2 was improved in a number of ways compared to the series 1. This car is equipped with a water heating system on the intake manifold. This instead of the cross-over pipe on both valve covers. The engine of the E-type was special in those days. Just think about it: double overhead camshafts and a power of 200 HP ++. Also, very acceptable fuel consumption if you abide to the contemporary rules.
