French title Engine n° 7R9400-9 - One owner since 1987 - Well maintained car, lovely presentation - Styling with a allure that has grown over time Delivered new to the US in September 1965 in its " Opalescent Silver Blue " livery, this was the first car acquired by our collector. He was drawn to the beautiful styling of the E-Type, particularly in its first version. Bought in 1987 from a Parisian dealer, this manual 4.2-litre coupé subsequently had work carried out : in 1999, marque specialists SPR serviced the carburettors, replaced suspension ball joints and silentblocs, and overhauled the ignition. The following year the clutch was repaired and exhaust pipes replaced. Today, the odometer of this lovely coupé reads 89,000 miles and the patinated midnight blue leather interior is an invitation to climb in. The engine starts up first time and turns over well. It is being sold without technical inspection (MOT), and having not been driven much in recent years, a service will be needed in order to enjoy the 265 bhp produced by its splendid competition-inspired twin overhead cam in-line six-cylinder engine. The E-Type was an iconic automobile from the moment it appeared in 1961, and has held this status ever since.
