As one of 11'860 Thunderbird convertibles built in 1960, this example was imported from the USA into Switzerland many years ago. In 2011, this most imposing cabriolet with its wire wheels and “roadster deck” over the rear seats was taken over by the vendor. He subsequently had the coachwork part-restored and the mechanical bits refreshed. In the following years the Thunderbird was used for occasional outings and wedding assignments. Invoices for restoration work and maintenance for about 15'000 Francs are present. This rather rare “Square-Bird" is in good to very good overall condition, opening and closing of the hydraulic convertible top does not work reliably though and will require attention in the near future. The latest Swiss Veteran MOT was completed in October 2011.
