The 1966 Mustang debuted with a number of minor changes including a new grille, side trim, hubcaps and gas cap. A cruisematic with three speeds and automatic transmission became available for the 225 HP strong V8. The 289 "HiPo" K-code engine was offered with an automatic C4 transmission.
