Description

Offered here is a Lotus Cortina that was campaigned by renowned engineer/racer Norman Ricketts. It was a successful car in the Classic Thunder Series running in the 2-litre class with an alloy block engine and a dry-sump oil system. The alloy block is fresh back from the machinist together with the crankshaft and other components, however, it will need a set of pistons. The bodywork has GRP panels making it a very light competitive Cortina.

Purchased from Nicky Torregiani in the mid 90s it has fabricated front suspension, adjustable anti-roll bar and is fully rose jointed. Affectionally known as ‘Sweet pea’ and well known in the ICS Series and Classic Thunder and Heritage over the years winning at Silverstone in July 2000.

With the engine assembled, this Lotus Cortina will offer plenty of opportunities in motorsport and the only thing better than a racing Lotus Cortina is a 2.0-litre alloy-block one!  It's supplied with an older-style V5 with the registration GWP 591C.
