Description

This classic car is for sale on Catawiki. To have more information or to place a bid click on the "BID NOW" button. .Ford A “Phaeton” from 1929, coming from South America (City of Colonia, Uruguay) and imported in 1986 to Italy, this Ford has been preserved in excellent condition thanks to the warm climate.

The original Blue Andalusite colour has acquired a beautiful patina of time.
The chassis is solid and in excellent condition (see the photos on the lift)

The electrical system is 12 volts and the car has just undergone a mechanical service
with original Ford parts, with photos and invoices, including:

1. new water pump;
2. new spark plugs, contact breakers, rotor, distributor cap, spark plug cables;
3. new Zenith carburettor kit with pin and gaskets;
4. new ignition starter and new ignition unit;
5. new exhaust silencer

In addition, the engine block has been completely repainted in its original colour
and brass piping have been overhauled and polished with care.

The lighting system needs to be checked, some bulbs do not light up.

The hood and side windows are present but heavily worn and hardened by the sun.

On the other hand, the interior, such as door panels and carpets, is well preserved and in good condition.

The car starts up nicely and can be driven on private roads, the engine is springy
and the transmission works well.

It is a direct purchase from the previous owner without technical inspection.

Some videos of the engine, car and road driving are available. Please, contact Catawiki.

The official technical data sheet of the authorised Ford A Club is available for registration,
with all technical details.

The engine number is the same as the chassis number, the car has “matching numbers”.

It’s a beautiful original car, with all its distinctive details, has never been converted, it’s also a nice base for a 1950s style Hot Rod or custom.
